PFLOW Visualization

One of the application of the People Flow Datasets provided in this service is the visualization of dynamic changes in people flow.
The graph-animation below is a visualization example of 1988 Tokyo metropolitan area People Flow Dataset of 720 thousand people, from 0:00 to 23:45 at 15 minutes interval. The number of people in 1km square mesh for each time step is visualized with color and height expressions. It can be seen that the population is concentrating in the central area of Tokyo, such as areas near Shinjuku station, Shibuya station and Tokyo station.
